DRAWING PORTRAIT COMMISIONS

Different mediums: Charcoal or Graphite pencils.

Monochrome drawings have a charm of its own and can be very dramatic. Each medium has its own character.  Especially if you compare charcoal, that has broad and dramatic lines and textures with Graphite that is mostly smooth and more blended.

I use Arches Aquarelle Hot-press or Fabriano Artistico Hot-press 300 g/m² if available, or a quality as near to that as can be obtained for Portrait commissions. If this is not available I will discuss an alternative.

Both papers are Acid-Free and made from 100% cotton.  Cotton gives the paper a beautiful texture and natural, long-lasting whiteness as well as strength and longevity.  Originally use as watercolour paper, but since it is hot-pressed, it is ideal for high detailed pencil drawings.

Prices will be affected when there is more than one face or if there is a lot of detail in the background.

Artworks that need to be couriered are carefully packed and insured for any possible damage.  Pricing excludes courier, framing, and insurance costs. Framing is optional. Drawings always have to be framed behind glass.

Please contact me on my “Home” page or “Contact” page for prices and discussion of your commission.
